Myrtle Baptist Church Incorporation
The three documents below relate to the incorporation of Myrtle Baptist Church under the laws of the State of Massachusetts in 1963. Notably some of the documents are signed by members of the church from that period. Up till the time of its incorporation Myrtle like many other, particularly historically black churches, had to resort to having individual members conduct business on behalf of the church via trusts and other legal instruments. The original by-laws that accompanied incorporation have not yet been found. We would be excited to obtain a copy should you have access to one.
